Ayurveda is an ancient holistic system of medicine, dating back over five thousand years and is still practiced in India & Sri Lanka today. It focuses on achieving balance in the body, mind, and spirit to promote overall health and well-being.
Ayurveda emphasises the importance of harmony between the body's energies, known as doshas (Vata, Pitta, and Kapha), and for the doshas offers personalised recommendations for diet, lifestyle, herbal remedies, and therapies to restore and maintain this balance.
By addressing the root causes of imbalances rather than just symptoms, Ayurveda aims to prevent illness and promote longevity, making it a natural, comprehensive and sustainable approach to health and wellness.

How does it work?
As your Ayurvedic Lifestyle & Nutrition consultant, my primary aim is to earn your trust so we can collaboratively address your health concerns. Our first session will last about two hours, providing us with the opportunity to understand each other better and create a personalised plan for you. During this time, we'll discuss various aspects of your life, including your diet, lifestyle, relationships, and physical and emotional well-being, all in a relaxed environment.
My role is to help identify the underlying causes of your discomfort and explore ways to address them. Together, we’ll develop a plan that may involve lifestyle and dietary adjustments, natural remedies, and emotional support. I will offer guidance on simple, nutritious meals and home remedies, and support you as you take charge of your health and move beyond feeling unwell & unbalanced.
What can Ayurveda help with?
​Digestive Issues
Helping to balance digestive enzymes/fire (Agni) and suggesting dietary adjustments to alleviate issues within the GIT (gastrointestinal tract). I have patients that have had symptoms completely resolved after over decades of digestive issues including IBS, bloating, wind, constipation, diarrhoea, diverticulosis, allergies, and obesity.
Womens Health Issues
Ayurveda can have a significant impact on women's health and happiness resolving support women naturally with painful periods, menstrual issues, fibroids, and transitioning through the menopause.
Mental and Emotional Health
Our mental health is intrinsically linked to our physical health and Ayurveda can help relieve symptoms from stress, anxiety, low mood, poor self esteem, lack of confidence, depression, and insomnia through lifestyle practices and dietary recommendations.

Ayurveda can relieve symptoms and significantly improve life for those suffering from skin disorders, eczema, dry skin, allergies, psoriasis, hives, urticaria, blisters, acne or itchiness, using dietary changes and natural remedies that support healthy skin.

How do I prepare for my initial consultation?
In Ayurveda, all diseases stem from an imbalance in your dosha or constitution. During your initial consultation, my main focus is to make you feel relaxed and comfortable so I can understand the real you, allowing for open and honest communication. We will spend 60 to 90 minutes discussing various aspects of your life.
Be ready to answer questions about all areas of your life, which will help me identify the root causes of the imbalance, rather than just addressing the symptoms. I will use various diagnostic methods, including observation and a comprehensive personal and medical history. We will explore your diet, work life, relationships, mental health, and exercise habits.
After gathering this information, I will identify potential causes of imbalance in your mind or body and create a personalized treatment plan. This plan will take a few hours to compile and will include dietary advice, lifestyle recommendations, and Ayurvedic herbal products. We will then have a 45-minute follow-up session to agree on an approach that works for you. In this second session, I will help you understand the causes of your discomfort and how you can take control of your health to resolve your symptoms. Most importantly, just be yourself.
